True Love
"Hey Sakura!" exclaimed Madison. "Ya' feeling any better?"
"Yup!" Sakura said in reply. "Doctor said I can be out of here tomorrow!"
"That's great!" Madison said.
"Hey!" said Tori. "How's my pea-brain sis doing?"
"Argghh! I'm not pea-brained and I'm doing just fine until you showed up!" replied Sakura.
"The doc says she can be out of here tomorrow !" said Madison.
"Great!" said Tori.
*~The next day~*
"Li! Where are you, Li?! Madison?! Tori?!" screamed Sakura. Darkness surrounded her. She was falling deeper, deeper. Her frantic screams echoed back at her in a gloomy way. Sakura waved her arms hysterically, hoping to find a wall of some sort to climb upon. Thud! Sakura landed on something soft. She looked below her and saw freshly dug dirt. Behind her lay a gravestone. The gravestone read, 'Here lies Sakura Avalon. Proud daughter, sister, and friend of many.'
"Nnn...nno. No. This isn't right! This can't be happening!" Sakura screamed. She turned around and saw her father, Madison, Tori, Li, and all her friends, standing in front of the grave, morning her death. As they all walked away, they slowly faded away into mist. All except Li. Li gently placed a cherry blossom on her grave.
"Goodbye Sakura," Li whispered. Then, Li faded away like the others. But more slowly. It hurt Sakura the most watching Li fade away. And she knew why.
"Goodbye Li," Sakura whispered in reply.
Sakura thought back to all those times Li and her caught clow cards. She remembered how Li and her had had a war to see who caught the clow cards. She saw herself battling side by side with him while Madison would tape all of it. Sakura remembered. Most importantly of all, Sakura remembered Li.
"I love you, Li ," Sakura whispered under her breath. But she knew it was all too late. Li would never know of her love for him. He would never know how hard it was for her to keep it all a secret. Li would never know. And as Sakura thought of these things, she, too, faded into a mist and rose up to the heavens. And if you look close enough you can see a woman smiling down upon Sakura like she had known Sakura since the very day Sakura was born.
