Introductions

Let's face it, every family has its cons. Maybe Mom likes to bitch about your laziness and lack of motivation or your brother can't help but walk around completely nude every morning... Or you could have "those" parents that will stop at nothing to force their daily rituals upon your poor little soul, church every Sunday, no snacks between meals, and despite you now being a legal adult, no you may not see that movie, it's rated PG-13 silly.

Some have it worse then others... Maybe daddy drinks, or mommy just doesn't care. Your uncles in jail, your sweet little auntie is a whore, and dear old grandmas a raging alcoholic with a thing for her neighborhood pool boy... Maybe not that specific, but the possibilities are endless and the fact is set in stone, some families just suck.

Imagine walking up to your driveway, the excitement nearly leaping out your chest! You destroyed that test, your crush said yes, you made the team! But...then you begin to think... Do they care? Depending on the severity of your family conflicts, the question can be simple.

However, if that little voice in the back of your head is telling you to keep it to yourself, due to pass experiences or injured feelings when good old ma had force fed you one of her half assed "that's great honey" bullshit replies, then the butterfly's in your stomach can quickly stop that annoying fluttering and sink to the pit of your gut, solemnly digesting with that days lunch.

If that conflicted and confused child hesitating at the front door is you, then no one has to tell you what needs to be done. You find a job at the local burger joint, you insert yourself in a meaningful relationship with someone that gives a shit, and you let go of all that spite your dysfunctional family had injected into your life and move on.

Well, it's that easy...right? Not even close. On top of the family from hell, the poor adolescent starving for some pride and attention from his or her remarkable shitty family, has to tolerate the other tragedies in life.

For example, prior to the positivity written above, when you bomb that test, your crush thinks your weird, you made the team though! ...But as the water boy...

Adding the stress from school onto the aggravation from a troubled family seems like playing a mentally unstable game of janga. However, for an adolescent, it's a way if life, a reparative grind until the day of graduation...

It's no surprise that the stress of life is at times unbearable... Everyone has their own adversities, but not everyone is capable of making the best out of their current situation, and strive to make their life better...
