Sisters
Chapter 1 - prologue
She struck her sword through her last victim. Scarlet liquid drizzled out of various men among creatures as their man made wounds stretched out over the titanium blade that glistened in the moonlight. Silent screams filled the murky wasteland. Bones snapping like twigs in the wind.
Fangs bared.
Eyes bloodshot.
Knuckles white.
She had released her last attack as she stumbled to the rocky edge of the mountain, the rock solid earth beneath detached and came tumbling down unsure of her consciousness. Blood. Sweat. Dirt. All washed away by salt water but the scars remain, most of the memories she will loose as the bruises surface.
She'll wake up in the middle of nowhere, no concept of where she is , not a handful familiar faces. And that was just what she intended. She would wake up to one face: strong jaw line, high cheekbones, piercing pools of dark chocolate, small button nose, plump full natural lips ; silky bobbed raven locks. This vixen was on the look out for one face, one female in particular.
Brooklyn Isabella Hallowell (a.k.a Akane Tendo )
Multiple questions would skim through her mind as all thoughts would be pushed to the back of her head. Will she recognise me? What if she doesn't obey? How will I convince her? Will she pick this life over the pathetic one, full of lies that she's been living for 18 years?
A ninja was never afraid. A ninja knew all outcomes. A ninja would focus on the target and with no second guesses either. However a human would feel ok to feel guilty and insecure. Oh but she was far from human. This young woman had one of the two greatest gifts and worst of curses….
Invisible
Indestructible
Invulnerable
…in danger all the same
As her journey through the river Came to end and the mud and sand entwined itself through her rich strands of burnt auburn. Her breathing became soft like a whisper. She let her eyes flutter shut as the she wanted and needed most was right around the corner… she could feel it. The moment had come, no turning back, no regrets, no more hatred, no more war.
Well, three out of four she was certain of.
Authors note: ok so it's a little short but don't worry its just a prologue. So what did ya think? Short but satisfying? Weird but wonderful? You tell me! PLEASE REVIEW!
