Our desperate moon goddess
Lost her love
Now broken and alone
Begging for him to return
Our fiery sun
Light extinguished
Leaving those who love him
Saving those who forgot him
Happy endings don't happen
Not even for those who deserve it
The moon weeps
The sun goes dark
His smile gone
Her heart broken
Life for the moon was empty
No laughter
No joy
No fiery red hair to run her fingers through
Years pass
The sun does not rise
And the moon sinks lower into the horizon
Lost and alone
Her pain seeps into the stars
And they grow dim with remorse
One of their own extinguished before his time
They cry out for their lost brother
But no laugh answers their calls
No dancing green eyes fall upon them
He is gone
But then our Sun he rises
The moon rejoices
Rushing across the sky to meet him
Joining in a fiery eclipse
The stars shine bright and laugh once again
The two lovers are returned
The sky is full of light once more
And for a short while the world is right
