Disclaimer: I don't own the Harry Potter books, movies, or anything else associated with the franchise (except my copy of the books!). I have no rights to anything, except to my imagination. JKR owns anything recognizable! I will admit that I had help with some of the later events/dialogue, but I'm re-writing it as my own (this was originally a fanfic roleplay). Hermione watched, horrified, as her two best friends shouted at each other. Harry and his best friend, Ron, had been on edge for days now. But she hadn't ever thought it would come to this.
If they're going to act like children, I might as well try and get something productive done,Hermione thought to herself. She left the boys to it and started preparing supper, even though they might not thank her for it. She knew that her cooking skills weren't the best, but they could always Transfigure the results into something more appetizing. The trio had spent months living in the old tent, and they never usually let Hermione cook, especially after the mushroom incident.
"That's it, I'm out of here!" Hermione heard Ron shout from the tent flap. She ran out to see what was going on, and what she saw made her eyes fill with tears. Harry and Ron both had their wands out and pointed at one another, chests heaving. The chain of the locket glinted at the collar of Ron's jumper.
"Ron! Take the Horcrux off! You've been wearing it for days; it's probably caused all of this somehow!" Hermione pleaded.
"No! It's not causing anything, Hermione. I've been looking for an excuse to leave for a while now, seeing how you two don't need me!" Ron bellowed. He tore the Horcrux off his neck and flung it at Harry's feet. "I'm going home." He turned on his heel and stalked out of the tent.
Hermione followed him, shaking and crying. "Ron! No, Ron, please, come back! Come back, it's not safe!" She chased him all the way to the edge of their protective enchantments, but it was too late. He passed through the barrier and was gone.
Hermione walked miserably back to the tent, tears still streaming down her face. "He's gone" she told Harry, and collapsed onto her bunk.
I know this is really short, but I'm not entirely sure I'm going to post the rest of this. Please let me know what you think? Like it, hate it? Want more, want it taken down and burned? Leave me a review and tell me! I'd really appreciate it, and I'll return any reviews (or at least reply to say thanks!)
Thanks for reading this~
