"Done." Said Jinselong, as we sealed a deal that got us passage to the ice dragons realm. Kishan pulled Kelsey along to where we came in to get ready to leave. I started to follow them, then turned around and looked at the dragon.

"I meant every word I said about loving her, you know." I said anguished.

'I believe you, my friend." He said softly.

"Might I bother you to barter one more time with me?" I asked, an idea forming in my mind.

"Depends what you would like, you have already seen the extent of all my treasures. What would you have me barter?" He said in a business tone.

"I would like to look at your collection of beautiful rings." I replied.

"Are you planning to ask for your young woman's hand in marriage?" He inquired.

"I would love to dragon, as soon as I get her away from my brother." I said angrily.

"Well, in this special case I think I can make an exception. I will let you choose one ring, and you can take it for free. As long as you promise me it will go on her finger."

"That is a generous offer, Jinselong. Thank you, I will personally make sure that she agrees to be my wife."

"Then I will ask you to follow me to my ring room." Jinselong said with a smile.

He then escorted me past several rooms until we came to a smaller room, filled with beautiful rings. I saw many I considered. There were rubies and diamonds, sapphires and emeralds, opals and pearls, and even amethyst rings. All adorned with either gold or silver.

Then I saw one that surpassed all the others, it was a bright blue sapphire that twinkled with a shade of blue deeper than even my eyes. It was a princess- cut sapphire surrounded by shining, round diamonds. It sat atop what looked like two silver bands woven together with another diamond set at each loop.

"This is the one Jinselong, the perfect ring for my Iadala." I said, mesmerized.

"This ring was once worn by a princess, it is a precious ring. If you wish it to be yours, than you shall have it my friend."

"Thank you Jinselong, I couldn't wish for a better ring." I said emotionally.

"You are quite welcome, we better get back to your lady before your brother gets to her." He said with disgust.

"Agreed." Kishan would keep his hands off my girl from now on. Or answer to me.

We walked back together to where they were, as Jinselong turned back into his true dragon form I quickly slipped the ring carefully into my pocket. We swam to Jinselong's golden scales for the trip, and I took up the position behind Kelsey.

I figured I would give her the ring when our task was finished, and the timing is right. By then I figured that she would be back with me again. Since that kiss after I got my memory back, we both knew that she belonged with me. That she could never be fully happy with anyone else. And I was determined that it would never happen.

The Right Time

How do you know when it is the right time?

Does it hit you?

Can you miss it?

Will you know if you did?

Time is everything

It is a precious thing

We must all keep it in our minds

So I can keep her heart
