this is just a short story: the only thing I'm good at in the internet :p lol. Just about Rigby's feelings for Mordecai (Morby).
Rigby was annoyed. No, actually irritated. Pissed. Here he was, on his free time from work, listening to Mordecai drone on and on about Margaret. "And then she laughed at my joke!" Mordecai stated happily. Rigby groaned. "What next? She proposed to you?" Mordecai seemed surprised at Rigby's crabby remark. "Dude what's your problem?" Mordecai asked, frowning at Rigby's suddenly dark attitude.
"Nothing, jeez." Rigby flopped down onto his trampoline, crossing his arms grumpily. Mordecai stared at him for a few moments, making Rigby uncomfortable. Then Mordecai shrugged and went back to talking about the "girl of his dreams".
The truth was, Rigby was in love. No, not with Eileen. With Mordecai. After all those adventures and arguments and saving each other's lives, Rigby fell for his blue feathery friend. At first, he was scared. The idea of being gay scared him. He even stayed clear of Mordecai for weeks. But then he thought, who better to fall in love with then your best friend? (This sort of happened to me except it was my best friend's cousin).
But Rigby felt jealous of Margaret, and thought of her like an enemy, trying to compete for Mordecai's attention. Only Eileen knew of Rigby's secret, and was happy to help Rigby out. This blows Rigby thought, how can Mordecai not notice me? I'M the one who sticks by his back always! I didn't see Margaret when we saved Christmas, or when we fought the geese!
Rigby sighed deeply, putting his head on his pillow. Dreaming of the day Mordecai finally opens his eyes to who really loves him. Someday.
Mordecai noticed Rigby fall asleep. he's so cute like that he thought. too bad he doesn't think the same of me. I thought maybe talking about Margaret would make him jealous.
Mordecai walked out, and closed the door slowly behind him, getting one last peek at Rigby's peaceful looking face. Someday.
