Rebuilding

It had been a year since the children of the Avengers defeated Ultron and the survivors had rebuilt a small section of the city just largge enough for the small band of survivors to live in. They were woking on another building and getting the electricity back up.

Tony was working on the near by power plant to get the equipment up and running again. With all the time Tony had been at the power plant, he had been trying to find time to build on his relationship with Aleron.

Meanwhile in the city...

The kids were playing on a playground, but Aleron sat on a concrete bench looking annoyed.

Betty asked," Aleron, what's wrong?"

Aleron responded," I want to help."

Betty argued," Aleron you're only six years old."

Aleron argued back," I know, but there is something I can do."

Betty said," Nothing you can do but keep out of the way."

That evening Betty escorted the other surviving children to their homes and started home got home a little after 7PM. He sat down at the table next to Aleron, who smiled up at him.

Tony got up and whispered to Betty," I've desprately been trying to build a relationship with Aleron. but haven't had time to."

Betty whispered back," It isn't hard to build a relationship with Aleron. She said she wanted to help someone. Maybe you should take her with you to the power plant."

Tony said," That's a good idea Betty. Thanks."

Tony, Betty, Bruce, Aleron and the other kids sat around the table and ate dinner. Soon the kids were ready for bed and Tony talked to Betty about him putting Aleron to bed that night. Betty agreed and went back downstairs. Tony took Aleron's hand and walked her to her room.

Tony asked," Would you like to hear a bedtime story?"

Aleron climbed into Tony's lap and responded," Yes please."

Tony began," There were the soldier, the archer, the giant, the pixie, the spy, the god, the king, the ghost, and the knight. And there came a day when Earth's mightiest heroes united to tkae on villans that not one superhero could take on alone. Time traveling conquers, Invading Aliens, and Masters of Evil, they conquered them all. Once peace fell upon Earth, The Avengers went their seperate ways and started building lives of their own. The soldier and the spy fell in love, as did the Giant and the pixie. The king found his queen and the thunder god went back to rule in his world far away from that of man. One by one the children of the Avengers came to be. Then an evil robot called Ultron conquered all the Avengers and the knight took the children to where they would be save. Twelve years later, The Avegers' childrent defeated Ultron with the help of the Incredible Hulk and peace fell over Earth once again."

Aleron fell asleep, so Tony packed her to the bed and tucked her in. After kissing her on the forehead he left the room. Once in his own room, Tony climbed into his bed and fell asleep.
