Korra was walking through the snow with her large fur coat pulled tightly her body. The boots she had on made this squishy sound when she walked through the newly fallen snow, but Asami had given them to her, so she didn't care if it annoyed people. Korra felt the band of her necklace rubbing agaisnt her neck awkwardly and readjusted it. Her fingers lingered at the medalion at the front of the necklace. A small smile curved at the corners of her lip at the recollection of such a fond memory. She had been so surprised when Asami did it, but she readily accepted it. The design featured a traditional water tribe symbol of three waves rising high into the air and a gear centered above them. When she was nearing the door to Asami's house-their house- the wind begin to pick up. Korra shivered and hoped that Asami had a fire going.

Asami was laying down on the couch enjoying the warmth of the fire she had just started when she heard footsteps on the path. she hoped Korra was home from her day around town. She jumped to greet whoever was at the door. Through the glass window pane, she could see the fuzzy outline of her fiance, Korra.

"Welcome home," Asami spoke softly to the shivering Korra.

"That's a nice fire you've got going. Do you mind if we snuggle by it?" Korra said flirtatiously. Asami smirked and siad, "There's a nice spot waiting for us on the couch." They went to sit down near the crackling fire. Asami wrapped Korra up in her arms and laid her head down on the pillow next to the arm rest of the couch. Korra leaned into Asami's and sighed happily. Music started playing on the radio; Christmas music as you might expect during this time of year. Snow was falling lightly on the ground outside, and the windows were covered in frost. They stayed in that position for a long time, with Korra dozing off a little and Asami watching her intently. Her eyes wandered over Korra's sleeping form, lit only by the Blue-ish gray light coming in from the window and the crackling fire in the hearth. Her lips were slightly apart as she slept. Asami relished in the fleeting moment of peace they had. Even when the world didn't need saving from someone trying to cause chaos, the press was hot on her trail for whatever new scoop they could get from her and her avatar fiance.

Fiance. Asami loved saying it to herself whenever she was alone or in deep thought. She was startlingly giddy to be able to call Korra her fiance. The world is a funny place, she thought.

They shifted every now and then, getting comfortable, and when Asami finally closed her eyes and fell asleep, her world was perfect.
