It always had been a competition. Lots of people have rivalries, but none quite like the one between Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak. You see, the two of them were serial killers. The way their rivalry worked was, each would try to commit a more horrible crime than the other, comparing and contrasting via security camera tapes. It was getting more and more challenging, each murder spree going a little higher on the scale than the last. But that was exactly the way they liked it. Each new crime required more and more creativity and resourcefullness. Especially this one.
Dean was glaring at a VHS tape. It had been slipped through his mail slot over an hour ago; yet he still hadn't played it. He almost didn't need to. He knew exactly what it was. The words hastily scrawled on the cover proved it could only be from Castiel. The condescending smiley face combined with "Beat this!" was the code of his arch-enemy.
Grumbling to himself, Dean stood up to put the tape in the player. He might as well be planning his next offing while he was stewing. Once it was in, Dean pressed play and sat down again.
He was greeted with his rival's sadistic smile. Castiel was grinning like a child on Christmas morning, his eyes beaming a message that said "check this out." Within a few seconds, the sounds of screaming humans and tearing flesh was heard as the room was spattered with blood and entrails. Dean's mood grew lower with each victims heartrate. How could he top massacring a pro-lifer convention? Dean scowled at the television while contemplating this. Leaving body parts in the house of the deseased's loved one? Ruining a wedding with triple-murder? After running through some ideas, he thought of the perfect way to beat his rival.

Castiel smiled as he pressed the play button. He'd just received his adversary's latest killing, and he was iching to see what that Winchester guy had come up with. The file opened with what appeared to be a bank. A minute later, Dean was herding a large group of terrified patrons and employees into a vault with a gun. Once they were all in, Dean appeared to be reassuring them they wouldn't be harmed. Then, he raised his gun at them, and turned to wink at the security camera. His expression read "Watch and learn, baby."
