Authors note- First, this is my first story up here. Give me a few days to figure it out before you start screaming at my idioticness.

Graystar watched his clan milling in the camp. His clan was large and healthy, better than he could have hoped. He especially kept his eyes on Ferncloud, his deputy. The small she-cat was acting nervous, for no reason. Graystar hopped off of the small rock he was standing on, and walked over the Ferncloud.
"Hello, Ferncloud. How is everything?" He asked the flustered she-cat.
"Its just um, fine, Graystar." She mumbled. Graystar cocked his head.
"If it was just fine, why are you so flustered?"
"No reason, just um, embarrassed myself in front of my patrol. Missed a rabbit. Poor technique." She said. Graystar knew it was more than that, but he didn't prod anymore.
"Okay then. I shall see you later, correct?"
"Why would you-um, I mean, yeah. Yes." She said before stalking away. He was confused-she was NEVER this flustered, not even in battle! Goldberry, Graystars mate, walked up. She rubbed her cheek along Graystars neck.
"Hi there." Goldberry mewed cheerily. Graystar immediately cheered up-Goldberry had that effect on him.
"Good morning! Would you like some fresh-kill?" He asked, looking towards the fresh kill pile. Suddenly, all of the fresh kill looked like...him! He was the fresh-kill? Graystar blinked, and the prey was back to normal.
"Yes, please!" Goldberry said, already bounding over to the pile. Graystar picked out a vole for himself, while Goldberry took a crow. Graystar thought as he chewed, about things like Bramblestar, Firestar, Bluestar...and all of the Thunderclan leaders before that. What if he wasn't as good as them? He pondered this for a while as he finished his vole. Getting up, he looked around again, and walked into the medicine cats den.
"Hey Moonleaf." He called. The white she-cat turned to look at Graystar and purred.
"Hello Graystar." She caught the look in his eyes. "Is something the matter?" Graystar hated how no matter how he tried to hide his feelings, Moonleaf always saw them.
"Well...I had a vision that I was the fresh-kill pile." He quickly explained it.
"I think you should go to the Moonpool as quick as possible." Moonleaf finally said.
"Is as quick as possible...right now?" He asked nervously. Moonleaf nodded.
"Yes." She said simply. She got traveling herbs ready. Normally, the leader wouldn't be sent off that quickly. But that vision just...was disturbing. "You should bring someone with you...perhaps Skypelt?" Graystar shrugged.
"Right now, I'd rather have Ferncloud. I'm going to make the announcement right now." Graystar walked out and hopped onto the highrock. He made the announcement, and called Ferncloud up. Ferncloud looked triumphant, then nervous. Ferncloud was annoying Graystar a lot, but he chose her anyway. "I am going to the Moonpool. Skypelt will be in charge." He said. "Leaving as soon as possible...which is right now." He hopped off, avoiding questions, and quickly gobbled down the herbs Moonleaf had ready for him already.
Time to go-and Ferncloud looked both nervous and triumphant.
