The ground was uncomfortable beneath me and the cold air above, like a soothing balm.

Where I was, I had no clue. All I knew was that I was alive.

Sephiroth. Where was he? Was he okay? My mind raced a mile a minute as I remembered the man from the lifestream. Did he come back too?

"Okay Aeris. Stop. Breathe. Think. What does the surrounding area look like?" A church, "Can you smell anything distinctive?," Flowers. Orchids, "Do you know where you are?" Yes. It was my church, the old rundown one that had been next to my house in Sector Seven. The flowers that I could smell were my flowers. The creaky beams that ran along the ceiling were mine. I was home.

I rushed out of the front door, flinging it out of my way, and ran. My feet knew where to go without conscious thought. It almost felt as though I was in flight, or at the very least my heart was, and in no time I would be crossing the threshold onto familiar ground. In my moment of glee I failed to notice the large obstruction in my path and ended up with a face full of dirt.

"Darn!"

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm pretty sure my name is actually Sephiroth, not darn," The lump entangled amongst my legs grumbled, "Now would you be so kind as to GET OFF!" I quickly extracted myself and clambered to my feet.

"I'm so sorry Sephiroth. I have to go. I need to…I'm sorry but…I have…" I stuttered before beginning my frenzied run again. Leaving a rather annoyed, and slightly confused, Sephiroth on the ground. In hindsight I probably should have stopped to check if he was okay.

If I had been in any other state of mind then I probably would have slowed down to observe the light coming in from the roof-plate. Birds danced over my head and flowers swayed in the breeze, but all that was insignificant. The only thing of importance to me was Elymira and home.
