Many things intrigued Conway. Mainly because everything was infinite. Nothing went according to calculations all the time, and the end wasn't always how you planned it. So a variable that could change the calculations was always welcomed and thoroughly examined by him.
But, there was that girl, Dawn. She broke that hard and fast rule he had made for everything, falling into calculations he had made more than anyone else.
For both Paul and Ash, they had turned it around. Conway had assumed that Ash would lose where he needed it the most, and Paul would defeat Ash in their final battle. Of course, he made some alternations as he had seen both of them train more, but he stuck to his beliefs. And yet it all changed.
And for Tobias, he had thought that no one would beat him. And yet, Ash came close, tying with his never before seen Latias.
Yet Dawn fit his calculations closely. He had expected her to become a coördinator. That happened. Conway had also expected her to place highly in the Grand Festival. And while she didn't win, she did make it as a finalist.
And that's why she was so intriguing to Conway. While he knew that there was someone who was going to break that rule of his – after all, that rule allowed for breakage – he didn't expect it to be someone like her.
And she was alone now. Couldn't he just obverse his little rule breaker in a non-stalkerish way?
