"I think you should ask Scorpius Malfoy out." Lily said in my ear. I turn around to find her standing next to me.
"Why would I want to ask Scorpius out?" I ask her. We are standing in the Great Hall for the dance that they have every year.
"Because he is the sexiest man in Hogwarts." Lily said all dreamy. She was staring off in space.
"Hello, Lily." I waved my hand in front of her face. When that didn't work, I snapped my fingers in from of her face.
"Sorry." Lily shocked her head.
"Are you not dating Jason Longbottom?" I asked her.
"Yes." She said nodding.
"So, why don't you go find him and dance with him? And leave me and my love life alone." I tell her. I turn to see the couples dancing. I see my brother dancing with his current girlfriend, Jane Thomas.
"Because, my dear cousin, I hear that you and Scorpius are getting friendly with each other. Doing homework in the library together and meeting in the dungeon to work on potions together." I could see the sparkle in her eyes. She was wondering if I will tell her it is true.
"We are working on a potions project together and we both want to get a good grade on it." I told her without looking at her.
"Sure, that what you are telling our brothers. You can tell me the truth, Rose." Lily said, stepping in front of me.
"That is the truth. We were partner together. You can ask Al." After I said this, I saw Scorpius across the hall talking to one of his friends. It was like he knew I was looking at me because, he turn to me. I forgot that Lily was right there or that we were in a crowded room. It feels like we only had eyes for each other. I felt all warm inside. He smiles like he knew a secret and I knew what that secret was.
Lily saw where my eyes had traveled and saw the smile I had on my face. "Rose, are you okay?" Lily voice seems like a mile away. "Rose!" Lily yelled to bring me to earth.
"What?!" I yelled back at her.
"Where you going to come back to earth or were you going to keep looking in Scorpius' eyes." Lily smirked.
"What are you talking about?" I asked her like I didn't know what she was talking about.
"Don't give that me that look, it may work on your father, but it won't wrong on me." Lily scolded me. "You know what I'm talking about."
"I was never gone." I said with a smile.
"Whatever." Lily said. I had to look at her because Lily would never give up this early. She had that look in her eyes that told me was not done with me. "I think you should ask him to dance."
"Where did that come from?" I said. "How did we go from me coming back to earth to me asking Scorpius to dance."
"I know that you would never ask him out, but you may ask him to dance." Lily said.
"I'm not going to ask him anything." I said with forced.
"Yes, you are." Lily said. "I dare you to." I gave Lily a look. She knew that I would not back down from that.
To make it look like I came up with it, "I think I will ask him to dance." I walk away from Lily. I knew Lily was smiling.
