"Claudia Brown." Nick stood in front of the blown out windows of the kitchen, in shock, he didn't know what to do, was Claudia still in the hotel.
Claudia walked up behind Nick, covered in sot and blood.
Nick could feel her and smell her when she walked up behind. "You scared the life out of me."
"I'm fine." No sooner then Claudia said that Nick turned and pulled her into his arms dropping the gas can and zippo lighter
Nick held her tight, his face buried in her hair, "Are you all right?"
Claudia felt so safe in his arms, "Helen saved."
"Remind me to thank her, I should have took you with me."
"No I would have slowed you down, I still couldn't see clearly."
"How are you eyes now?" Nick pulled back and softly pushing her hair out of her face.
"Better, much better." Claudia kissed Nick softly on the lips. "I owe you that from earlier." Claudia smirked.
Nick smiled and went to kiss Claudia again when Captain Ryan and the rest of his soldiers ran up.
Captain Ryan looked at the position Nick and Claudia were in and saw Claudia blush and turn her face into Nick's chest. Then looked at the kitchen windows, then back at Nick and Claudia, He than glanced at the ground.
Nick let go of Claudia and saw what Capt. Ryan was looking at "What? Yeah it was me, me with a Zippo and a bottle of Flammable gas." Nick took Claudia's hand and led her to the Golf course.
Taking a detour to the parking lot Nick retrieved his spare jacket for Claudia, softly kissing her hands as he helped he put it on. Grabbing her bag, Nick took out her phone. "You know you should really keep this on you."
Claudia Laughed a little snatching the phone away from Nick.
Once on the course, Nick kept Claudia in his view as if he thought she was going to disappear.
Soon Claudia's mobile rang, "Lester." Nick turned to her as she shut the mobile. "What can I say the battery down and I just didn't get to the call in time."Claudia shoved the mobile back in her pocket,
"You're saying Lester doesn't know about this?" Nick asked with a slight chuckle
"He wouldn't be happy if he did."
"I thought you didn't choose sides?" Nick smirked
"It's a one-off, against my better Judgment." Claudia smiled
Stephen ran up to Nick with a new red flag.
"This had better work." Claudia said
"It will." Nick Smile as he walked away towards the cherry picker
Once inside Nick turned to Stephen "You're absolutely sure this thing doesn't eat mammals'?"
Stephen shook his head yes "Dung never lies and if I'm wrong about that, at least you'll always have a special place in the history books."
"I always wanted to be famous. LETS DO IT!" Nick called as the cherry picker rose.
Stephen gave the signal for go and the pteranodon was released. As it rose it began to fly in the other direction away for the anomaly.
"Come Back! This way! Over here!" everyone called as Nick waved the flag.
The pteranodon turned and started to head back towards Nick. "Okay come on" Nick started to wave the flag more fiercely.
Claudia watch, "its beautiful" she said mesmerized
Everyone ducked as it flew over head towards Nick and the anomaly, flying through. "Safe journey."Nick said
Everyone…well the team celebrated, as cherry picker descended Nick never took his eyes off of Claudia, he was finally happy but he knew it was only a matter of time before Helen came crashing down.
