You sit nervously in the barber chair, heart fluttering like a cornered bird. Cold sweat beads your brow while the barber himself--Sweeney, you now remember--prepares at the table behind you. In the cracked mirror, you see him stropping his razor slowly, almost lovingly. Hearing you clear your throat, Sweeney gives you a stern glance, but you feel compelled to leave until your nerves calm down. "I think I'll step outside for a few minutes--"

"No," the barber says in a low growl, tangling his hand in the sheet securely, immobilizing you. "Once you enter my parlor, there isn't any second thoughts. I'm afraid you aren't going anywhere. Now relax and let me do my job, I won't hurt you." Feeling your body slacken, Sweeney proceeded to glide his blade across your skin, removing the shaving cream. Quickly finishing, he wiped the razor on the cloth hanging from his waist. "There you are, sir." Suddenly, the barber stiffens, a sinister voice whispering in his head. Do it now. Kill him, I command you!

"A-are you all right, Mr. Todd?" you ask, slowly creeping toward the door. Seeing him whirl, teeth bared, you yelp and grab the handle only to discover it locked from the outside. Clawing at the wood, you holler for help but no one hears through the thick brick wall. Abruptly, a pair of hands latch onto your shoulders and drag you back to the chair. Looking into the crazed black eyes of Sweeney, you attempt to reason with him. "Murderin' people won't solve anythin', you know. It only makes things worse in the end."

"But it pleases Him," the barber hisses, savagely creating a three-inch deep furrow in your neck, ignoring the spray of gore that coats him head to foot. Activating the hidden switch, he sends your body down the chute to land on the stone below. Cleaning his razor, Sweeney turns as the door opens to face Mrs. Lovett. "That was the last one, pet. After you take care of him, you can settle in for the night."

"Righ'," the baker says gratefully, leaving the shop, not knowing of the scene that had just ocurred nor the fact that her beloved Sweeney was answering to voices only he could hear.

A/N: It's VERY short, I know. But I think it's alright. Your reviews would be nice.
