Here's To Us

AN: Well, this is dedicated to my cousin and his wife(though, they'll never know I dedicated this to them) who are about to have their first child together. I've been having a lot of Percabeth feels, and Janae was asking for a Percy and Annabeth high school story... After I wrote it, I decided to write some Daddy!Percy fluff. Because we all know Percy would rock as a dad. I apologize if it's OOC, which I think it is, but hey, I'd be pretty cheesy if I went through what they did and were about to start a family together.

So, enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own PJO/HoO.

"Ow!" was the first thing that came over the video chat.

I raised an eyebrow at my pregnant wife, who was now uncomfortably squirming in her seat in front of the computer. Her belly protruded just as much as it had since I last saw her—maybe a little more. It was still surreal to think that she was caring my child—our child.

"Everything all right?" I chuckled lightly.

Annabeth glared. "Your daughter is kicking," she grumbled. "Sally says that she gets it from you. Thanks for that, Percy."

"Oh, so when she kicks you, she's suddenly only my daughter?" I joked, and she nodded.

"Yes. And when she does anything else annoying, obnoxious, or embarrassing in her years on this Earth, she will furthermore be your child, Percy Jackson," she said firmly, but I could see her lips twitch up slightly into a smile.

"I can deal with that," I laughed. Then, turning my attention to her large belly, I allowed myself an even bigger grin, and said, "Hi, baby. I miss you and Mommy very much."

Annabeth smiled slightly. "If she can't hear you when you're actually here, I don't think she can hear you over Skype, Seaweed Brain," she pointed out with a small chuckle. "But for what it's worth, it's awfully cute, and you make a great dad."

Hearing those words made everything within me soar. I couldn't wipe the goofy beam off my face, "You really think so?"

"Of course, Percy," she reassured with a nod. "You're going to be an amazing father."

I smiled at my wife. "Yeah, well, you're going to make a great mom. You already are."

Annabeth's cheeks became tinted pink, and she offered a small smile. "I can't believe that we've made it this far. To be honest, I didn't think we'd make through the war with Gaea and the Giants. And now..."

"Now, we're starting a family," I finished.

She smiled again. "Yeah. Now, we're starting a family together. It's incredible."

"It really is," I agreed. "And you know, I can't think of a better person to have a family with, 'Beth."

She blushed, then chuckled slightly. "You're a kiss-up," she teased. "But...I, ah, have to say the same about you, Percy."

I grinned. "I love you."

"Love you too."

AN: Did I totally butcher Percy's POV? I think I did.

And the title comes from me watching the Glee version of the song. It came out of nowhere, but I think it kind of fits.
