Sleeping with you.
Another prompt fic, since I seem to like doing these! It's a one-shot for now, but depending on what people think, I may add more!
Prompt – "I don't care where I am sleeping, as long as it's with you."
Aaron goes home after a long case. Aaron and Jayney.
Might add other ships if that's what people would like?

Aaron was trying, with no luck, to read the case file that was on the table in front of him. Everyone else of the jet seemed to be enjoying the night time flight as the headed back to Virginia.
He was tired and frustrated, the case hit all of them hard, no matter how hard they tired, it felt like bodies just turned up without any reason or meaning behind it. It was one of those cases that stayed with them, even though they'd caught the killer, it would be a 'bad' case for the team. The body count was too high and they knew the section chief would have something to say about it.
Aaron gave up after another 10 minutes of trying to make out the words beneath the blur of black ink. Pulling out his phone, he opened his messages, typing something out, before pressing send. Moments later his phone vibrated with an incoming call.
"Hey, you didn't have to call," Aaron said with a smile, happy to hear her voice.
"I know, but, I wanted to. I couldn't sleep anyway." Jayney said honestly.
"Well, I should be home in a few hours, we're not too far off landing. I've told the team to go home, paperwork can wait."
"Rough case?"
"You could say that, but I'm okay." Aaron lied smoothly, he didn't want Jayney to hear any of the details.
"Good. I'll wait up for you. Unless you need me to get you from the airport?" Aaron chuckled.
"I don't think that will be necessary, but thank you. You don't have to wait up, you know. I'm sure as soon as I see the sofa, I'll be asleep."
"Well, then that's where we'll sleep." Aaron was thankful for the woman in his life, despite her dislike for his job, she was still accepting of it.
"Jayney…"
"No. I don't care where I'm sleeping tonight, as long as it's with you." Aaron knew he couldn't argue with that.
Ending the phone call, Aaron began to prepare for landing, looking around the jet as the team, almost like children, began to wake each other for landing. However, once they began their decent, it was all a blur, and the next thing Aaron realised was that he was finally home.
"You really didn't have to wait up." Jayney smiled, at Aaron's comment.
"I wanted to."
"I know you're not one for mess, but can I leave all of my bags if I promise to sort it out tomorrow?" Jayney nodded, waiting for him to dump all his stuff, kick off his shoes and pull off his jacket and tie, before following her thought to their bedroom.
"I hope you know, I feel the same way," Aaron mumbled as the pair laid in darkness.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't care where I'm sleeping, as long as it's with you."
Hope this was an enjoyable read! How much did you like it? I'm open to adding more ships! Bethany.
