A tale of adventure from time of old
Danger born with finding a band of gold
Out of Gollum's cavern deep
Into the Shire the ring will keep
Bilbo Beggins' life stretched over the years
He was 111 and older then all his peers
Still things were not always merry
Dark forces come swift as the leaves the wind carries
Out of the Shire goes the ring
Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Sam bring it to the elven king
He asks who will bring the ring to Mount Doom
It must be destroyed in the mountain's gloom
A fellowship of nine is put together
Here are all nine right down to the last letter:
Frodo, ring bearer and hobbit the same
Sam, Frodo's gardener and master of his game
Pippin and Merry, the two are never separated
Gimli, a dwarf that carries an ax his race created
Aragorn, he will one day be king
Gandalf, knows much about the creatures searching for the ring
Legolas, an elven prince with a bow
Boromir, the man the death bells toll
Traveling far and wide
Across valleys and mountain side
Will the fellowship be successful?
Are the members able?
Tests will prove if good will prevail
Can we to afford fail?
And to think all this is because a band of gold
