This story follows "When the Lights Are Out".
It was amazing how much things could change in twenty four hours. She was still at his apartment and she was again sleeping in his bed. This time something had changed.
Their alternative friendship as she had put it was definitely confusing.
It had been a long time since he had brought a girl back to his apartment, and even longer since he had gotten in bed with one. The last couple who had come home with him had been unimpressed by his living an left early. Maybe that was why he had gotten so upset when Tess had slammed on the breaks earlier. He did have to give her credit for the way she had dealt with things.
Their star gazing had been more relaxing. It had been a chance for him to be honest with her. A chance to maybe let her in just a little. Of course he wasn't sure how it had gone.
Looking at her he wondered why he had doubted if she should be allowed to sleep in the bed or not. It had been a jerk move when he at first told her no. Of course the thought that he would have let her sleep there with no question if she had just put out for him also made him feel like a jerk.
He was definitely going to have to find a way to deal with her.
