AN: Okay, so this is my first Law & Order SVU fic. However, I have written many fics before. Just not for SVU, or Elliot and Olivia. So, I hope you like it! Here goes nothing........

The case was hard. It took a toll on her, and he knew it. If you ask
her if she's okay, she says "I'm fine." But he knew that wasn' true. He
knew she was hurting, and that she needed someone. That someone was
going to be him. That's why he's standing outside of her door,
preparing to knock.

Knock, knock, knock!

It takes a few moments, but eventually so comes to the door. She
doesn't open it, she speaks through it, "I'm fine, El. Go home."

"You aren't okay, Liv." There was silence, but he knew she was still
there. "You can't keep doing this alone. Let me help you." When she
still said nothing he whispered against the door, "Please."

The door was opened, and as he stepped in, he watched her walk away,
and sit down on the couch.

"Have a seat, El." She told him.

He sat down next to her, "I want to help you."

She Laughed bitterly, "You can't help me. You don't want to help me.
You think you do, but you don't."

"Olivia, I'm going to help you. I want to help you." He paused, "But
you have to tell me what's wrong."

She sighed. "Catherine Johnson."

He nodded, "Our latest victim."

"When she died, she had all of those people. Eight kids, a loving
husband, a woderful family........" She sighed again. "Her death was
just a freaky accurance. The wrong place at the wrong time."

Elliot nodded, "She was in the Walgreens when they came in, guns in
hand, screaming orders."

Olivia continued, "They chose her. They took the whole place hostage,
workers and all, then they raped and killed her."

"Thats right."

"When she was gone, she had all of those people. I don't."

"What do you mean?" Elliot was confused.

"When I die, there won't be anyone who cares. I won't be missed, I
won't even be remembered. I'll just be another spot in the cemetary."

"That isn't true, Liv."

She nodded, "Yes it is. I have no kids, no husband.....El, I don't
even have a boyfriend."

"But you have me." He continued, "I wouldn't forget you."

She shrugged, "You're right. After I died, you'd be upset for a little
while, but eventually, you'd forget."

Elliot was getting frustrated now, "That's not true, Liv!"

"Tell me one thing, El. One thing you'd remember." Olivia stood up,
and Elliot followed suit.

He gazed at her for a moment, and ran his hand down the left side of
her face. "I'd remember how beautiful you look right now."

"El....." She put her hand over his. "I'm in sweats and an over-sized shirt."

She laughed lightly.

"I know that." He replied, "You have to believe me. I won't forget you."

She nodded, "I know."

The way she looked up at him, they way she looked, the emotions you
could see in her eyes, made him lean down quickly and press his lips
to hers.

She responded, and they pulled away moments later.

"I'm in love with you." He told her easily.

She nodded, "I know. Because I'm in love with you."
