In Perfect Harmony
By SMYGO4EVA
It wasn't a mystery that Arcee thought that Bulkhead always had one screw loose in his processor. Despite this, she was fond of him, though she didn't like or want to admit it. He was a capable fighter, even though he was a little more rounded than the others in their team; she knew that he would fight if it was absolutely necessary. He certainly knew how to break things, while she preferred to be swift and deadly in her battles, using whatever it took to take her enemies down. She was never drawn to breaking things, especially her enemies, but watching Bulkhead use brute strength was a different matter. After those battles, in the much needed quiet moments there on Earth, sometimes they would just sit and talk about things. That was something that didn't happen often, not even in a nanoklik.
Bulkhead may have looked huge and menacing at first sight, but over time Arcee had been both amused and aggravated at times by him. At times, he was a bit clumsy and as she thought before, one screw loose of a part, but when it came down to it, he would fight for the team and for Cybertron as much as possible. Just like she would. His real strength was from his spark, in all that metal muscle - it was especially from within. When they first arrived on Earth, they didn't know what to think of it except as a wasteland for a planet, but it was valuable, and when the kids came into their lives, he would fight for Miko. It was like when she would fight for Jack, as they were the kids' guardians, and no Decepticon would harm them, not if she could help it.
She wished she was strong as he was. She was fast definitely, but she knew that she had limits, and she would be down for the count if pushed too far. If he was pushed too far, he would not stop. He would crush anyone who stood his way. Arcee knew that she would do the same, especially if it involved a mockery of her partners. Nothing was shades of grey on Earth, as everything metallic and machine had been on Cybertron. With more color and humans made the Earth a lot more vulnerable. They had to protect it, for the humans who had become their allies, and for the future.
If there was going to a future, Arcee knew that in their team, that she would need Bulkhead for support, and even if he didn't say it, he would need her too. It looked uncertain, but she wasn't worried; she has never known things to be any other way. With him, in his clumsiness and in his strength, with her abilities, with the rest of their team, it was in perfect harmony that existed because of that.
