Edit: I noticed a lot of you were confused at first at the statement of 'Raccoon'. I mainly used it because I assumed it fit at the time when my splurge of writing came on. But I've revised it and hopefully it makes more sense at the feeling I'm trying to convey. XD A Raccoon is a difficult creature that can heal in strange ways, they are bandits as well as inspiration in some places. It really depends.
That was the message that had trouble coming across. XD

The Other Side of Time
Summary: Snowfall….silent and still… on the other side of time.
-------------------------------
The snow seemed to encase the timeless moment of the two clashing figures. Blood drenched and freezing; a fallen angel dying in the arms of a filthy, murdering monster, a fitting end for such a fairy tale. Quite expected of those who leap into the fire of slaughter, to become scorched within its callous heat and blaze.
We are not Gods.
Yet, these two children have crossed the barrier of time with burns and bruises; but victorious. Hatred could have caused the burns; an ache of forgiveness forced the bruises upon their battered beings.
Blood fell.
We cannot stop it, it molds us. Hugging us close in an embrace of fiery passion and exhilaration in the strong love that is determination, the dying flower of spring hung onto the heart which loved a sword.
Love.
Carried only a single one through the inferno of life. A sacrifice was paid in murder and pain, only that could hold onto the red haired assassin. He wasn't broken by his loss.
He was repaired.
"Kenshin! Don't run to me!"
The white flower cried, her arms no longer out stretched towards the male heart.
Her smile lingered even towards his bewildered face. Her lips parted with a warm cry of laughter.
"You have to wake up…"
Her whisper grew louder almost into a shout towards him in a commanding tone.
"Wake up Kenshin!"
---------------------------
His eyes shot open.
Kenshin's head tilted to the side way perspective of falling cherry blossoms onto the light grass on which he laid. Black hair swiveled before him, but longer and more broken away from the fairy tale he lived. Her head turned to him as her dark eyes met his and her smile melted away the snowfall from his mind.
A faint cry of laughter, innocence and redemption in the form of adulation broke the spell and rescued the heart who loved the sword from eternal sorrow.
Kaoru smiled at him and extended her arms to him.
"Kenshin! Come on! I know you're awake!"
Yes. He was awake. Now he was awake. No longer dreaming of a fairy tale which he once held onto, now he looked forward.
No longer dreaming of the other side of time.

... I confess. I wanted to baby this story but I loved it too much to keep it to myself mainly because I have a small fear of criticism. Haha. I know I need it so FIRE AT WILL. :D
