A/N: Hey everyone, I know it's been forever since I've put a new story up but I had this idea about Cedric reading and had a hard time trying to wrap that idea in my head then I thought of a day off for Cedric. So I hope it's good. Please Read and Review!
Disclaimer: No matter how hard I wish I owned Sofia the First it still won't happen so as always I don't own Sofia the First.
Sofia the First
Cookies and a Princess Too?
"Where is that book?" Cedric mumbled to himself as he healed on to the ladder and searched for his most needed item. Wormwood, who was sitting on his perch snickered at his master's expression. If he kept searching like that he would never be able to enjoy his day off the King had given him, thanks to Princess Sofia no doubt.
Deciding to help Wormwood flew up to the bookcase already knowing what book Cedric was searching for. The raven knew a lot of these books were spells and counter spell books but among them was a book Cedric enjoyed reading and it was a Biography of his favorite sorcerer "Merlin" The bird spotted the big book at the very top and tried to get his master's attention.
When he heard the familiar squawk Cedric spotted his most trusted bird tapping on one of the book's spines. Climbing higher, the sorcerer stood next to Wormwood and saw that the raven had found his book. "Good work Wormy, now I can enjoy my day off in peace." he said petting the bird for his reward.
After reaching the bottom a familiar came to the door making the man grown."Come in Sofia."Cedric said as he tried to find his wand to cast a spell for his reading chair to appear. Usually he would read at his desk but when it was on day offs like these he wold cast a a spell to bring his reading chair out. "Hi Mr. Cedric, are you enjoying your day off?" the girl asked walking to him with one hand behind her back.
The man spotted his wand at the top of the self and answered "I was just about to.. why?" the girl giggled at his question. "Well, I had just got done with baking cookies to earn the Buttercup's baking badge and thought you might enjoy a few on your day off." she answered showing him a white bag.
Cedric smiled at his apprentices' generosity and took the bag from her. "Thank-you Sofia, I shall enjoy these while I read my favorite book." he said smiling.
Becoming curious as he had guessed she asked "What book is that?" Cedric picked up the book on his desk and showed it to her having the title to be "The Life of Merlin" Sofia giggled knowing fully well that Merlin was his favorite sorcerer.
"We're reading that book in my sorcery class, can I join you on your day off Mr. Cedric, please?" The princess begged tugging at his robe playfully. Cedric rolled his eyes at her attempts but also smirked. "I don't know... you would be getting ahead if you joined me in reading the book." The girl felt "No" was what he was going to tell her.
Seeing her sad eyes Cedric sighed and asked "How far has your class gotten?" The girl's eyes brightened as she told him that she was suppose to read chapter one for homework.
Seeing no harm in the girl joining him, Cedric used his wand to make a couch appear then as Sofia picked her spot on on the couch Cedric got the book and joined her in reading and eating cookies.
A/N: Sorry this was short but I thought this was the best way to end a good story like this. I guess the reason the cookie idea popped up was because I was getting hungry. Funny huh? So please forgive me I just realized next time I write it will be my 40th story on fanfiction. I guess I'm going to have to celebrate with a big cute one-shot of Cedric! That's what I get writing with a hungry stomach! Please Review!
