Yin and Yang
One in bliss; one in pain
The latter existed; the former lived
Each needed what the other could give
Yang and Yin
A frown and a grin
The dark and the light
One's fortune; one's plight
One moping and one hoping
Red eyes closed; blue eyes open
But though only seen by Yin,
there was a kinship 'tween the men
For though opposites were they,
night complemented day
Though the idea disgusted Yang,
deep down he wouldn't change a thing
Depression needed carefree mirth
As a kite needed anchor to Earth
A functional balance of up and down
A meeting halfway of smile and frown
Something Spongebob admitted as true
Squidward scoffed, but inside he knew
He'd never admit to such a thing
But that was just part of being yin and yang
