"...And I also hate the color pink, and the color yellow. And flowers. Seriously, if a guy offers me pink and yellow flowers, I'll slap him".

Jade looked at Beck to see his reaction. He didn't seem terrified at all. That was rare. Usually, guys left her in the middle of their first date, freaked out. But he didn't even seem to consider that option. Instead, he was staring at her intensively.

"What?"

She asked a bit bothered.

"Nothing. I just noticed how beautiful your eyes are."

"You should also know that I hate compliments". She pointed out.

"But that's not a compliment." He said casually. "I'm just speaking the truth"

She couldn't help the smile that was starting to form on her lips. She liked this boy. She liked him A LOT. This was rare.

She froze on her seat when he started leaning forward. God. He was about to kiss her. To her big surprise, she realized she wanted this. She wanted this bad. This was also rare. She bit her lip and started leaning forward too. Her heart was bumping inside her chest. She closed her eyes, and after a while she felt the taste of his lips on her mouth.

She hesitantly started kissing him back. Gradually, the kiss became more and more intense. Jade wrapped her hands around his neck, and so did he. Her mind went completely blank.

She didn't know for how long they've been sitting on this bench by the sea, kissing. After a few minutes or perhaps after a lot of minutes -she'd completely lost any sense of time-, they broke the kiss and looked at each other. The stars were brightly shining above them, a gentle wind was blowing and the calm sound of waves crashing against the sand was the only thing breaking the silence. Beck was warmly smiling at her.

Life is good, she thought.
