Ken yawned as he emerged from the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel. He tossed it in the laundry basket and sat down on the side of the bed, putting on a night shirt he got ready for a good nights sleep. The sounds of thunder and rain echoed outside and he sighed. 'Sam won't be happy tonight.' He thought to himself. Suddenly someone through their arms around his neck, startling him. Yolei giggled. "What's with you?" He asked with a chuckle. His wife shrugged. "The baby is finally down for the night, Rosa and Poromon are at a friends , Wormmon and Hawkmon are sleeping with Sam and I just feel spontaneous. Wanna make out?" She asked with a mischievous look in her eye. He glanced back at her with a bit of a worried look. "You do remember that Sam is terrified of thunder right?" He asked. "Well yeah but I figured we could have some fun before he comes in here!" Ken smirked and turned towards her, cupping the side of her face with his hand. He leaned in close almost touching his lips to hers and whispered, "3, 2, 1..." KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. They both jumped and sighed. 'And I was getting excited too...' Ken thought. "Can't blame a girl for trying right?" Yolei said with a laugh. "Come in son!" Ken called.
A small lavender hair boy opened the door meekly with Minnowmon perched on his head as usual. The small digimon also seemed to be frightened. "Can I sleep with you?" He asked with tears in his eyes. "Of course, Sam. What happened to Hawkmon and Wormmon?" Yolei asked their middle child. He ran jumped on to their bed and clutched his mother. "They snore!" Sam answered. "Yeah. I can attest to that. I lost a lot of sleep as a kid." Ken laughed but then he paused for a moment. "I... uhhh... have to go the bathroom..." Ken said nervously. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go ahead." Yolei replied, waving her hand. Ken went hurriedly to the bathroom and emerged a few minutes later to a sight that never ceased to amaze him. Yolei had her arms around their child while he shook and whimpered as thunder roared outside. He clutched her tightly while she sweetly whispered "shhhhhhh," to him. She rubbed his back and ran her hands through his soft purple hair. She hummed a sweet song to him as he was slowly lulled to sleep. Ken laid down next to them, laying his arm over them and smiling. His wife was truly just amazing. "Sometimes it's nice to be interrupted." He said to her."Yeah it really is." Yolei replied softly. They both drifted off to sleep.
