Prologue
One thousand years ago the humans waged the Great Mushroom War. Then the last and greatest bomb was launched. The human species was nearly destroyed, along with every species that existed on the planet, but new creatures were created as well, demons, vampires, candy people, and, greatest of all, the Lich King.
The Lich King desired only one thing, the extinction of all life on Earth. Over the centuries he gathered great power and great armies and sought out his ultimate goal ruthlessly.
One day the Lich King set his sights on the land of Ooo and approached the mountains that served as the gateway to the life-filled land. It was not long until the Lich King came to the mountains and to the kingdom that ruled them. There, on the border of the land of Ooo, rested a great and mysterious kingdom. This kingdom came to be called the Monster Kingdom.
The Monster Kingdom earned its name for its inhabitants, which were the strangest creatures of Ooo. Golems, feathered serpents, plant men, were-people and chimeras were only some of the inhabitants of that great kingdom, ruled by a powerful sorceress known as the Monster Queen. When the Lich King came to this land with his great army only the Monster Queen stood before him. The Lich King saw her and offered her a place in his army, but the Monster Queen refused for she saw the Lich King's true intentions and the two declared war on each other.
For many years the Monster Queen and her loyal subjects kept the Lich King and his army out of Ooo, until one day, when the Lich King's army held all of the Monster Queen's attention, the Lich King slipped past her defenses and made his way into Ooo.
The Lich King wreaked havoc in Ooo. Then one day a hero named Billy approached the Monster Queen, hoping for a way to stop the Lich King. The Queen pointed him to where he could find an object known as the Gauntlet of Heroes, which Billy could use to bring the Lich King down. With the advice of the Monster Queen in mind Billy found the gauntlet and used it to not only bring down the Lich King but encased the Lich Kind in amber and all were glad.
