Yes! This is my first fanfiction so don't hate me for this awefulness (unless you think this is good, then thanks!). I rated this K+ because I will probably make Zim or someone else say a bad word or 2 in the story. I really hope that you think the story is better than the summary! Enjoy!

Chapter 1 – Lies

"My Tallest!" Zim yelled to his leaders with a big smile on his face.

"What is it THIS time, Zim?" the tall red irken asked, clearly annoyed.

"Yeah! You should know that it's snack time! I don't like to be interrupted during snack time!" the purple irken yelled, his chips flying everywhere.

Zim looked down for a moment but then quickly looked back up again. "My apologies Tallest Purple, but I have a new plan to enslave of the filthy humans!" Zim smiled and put his hands on his hips. "I just thought that you should hear this magnificent plan, a plan made by ME! I AM ZIM!"

Red and Purple flinched at Zim's sudden outburst. "Alright," Red said, sighing and looking at Zim with an angry gleam in his eyes, "I think it's time we tell you the truth."

"The truth, My Tallest?" Zim tilted his head to the side. "What do you mean?"

"The truth Zim," Purple shouted angrily while pushing Red off screen, "is that we don't like you and that you should stop calling us!"

Zim just stood there with a look of unfazed confusion on his face.

Red pushed shoved Purple out of the way so that he was back on screen. "Do you know what the means, Zim?"

Zim concentrated and put some thought to it, but then shrugged.

That made Red extremely mad. "It means that your mission ISN'T real! Your NOT an invader, you're BANISHED to Earth, and you're going to STOP calling us!" With that said, the Tallest floated over to the controls and cut off Zim's transmission.

Zim took a few steps back. He couldn't believe what he just heard. His entire mission was a lie. He could never return home. Banished to this filthy ball of dirt. Zim ran back up to the video phone and tried to call the Tallest again. All he got was static. "Computer!"

"What?" the computer said lazily.

"What's wrong with the video phone? Why can't I contact the Tallest?"

"I'll do a scan of the system." After a few minutes of waiting, the computer finally got the scan results. "It appears that the Tallest have cut off all of your transmissions. You have no way to contact anyone who is off this planet."

So it was true. His entire reason for being here was all a lie. Zim dragged his feet to the elevator where he slowly went back up to the kitchen. He stepped out of the toilet elevator and to sat in the kitchen chair, dropping his head to the table.

Out of curiosity Gir poked his head into the kitchen and stared at Zim. "Aw, is master sad?" Gir asked in a sing-song voice. When Zim didn't answer, Gir ran out of the kitchen and back into the living room to watch more of "The Scary Monkey Show". Gir smiled wide and said, "I love this show!"

Whoo! 1st chapter done! Chapter 2 is when we get to the 5 years later part, so please read! Oh, and the part when the Tallest were telling Zim his mission wasn't real, sorry if it was kinda suckish. It took me forever to think of how they should tell Zim. I'm not good with arguments, so yeah. Please review!
