chapter 1: the situation
Snake was busy writing a letter to otacon when the phone rang snake walked over to the desk and answered it "hello?" he asked "snake, this is raiden." "raiden?" snake
hadnt talked to him since the big shell accident four years ago...after the incident, snake moved to a small town in california near the mountains, he thought he would
be safe there, for a little while that is..."what is it raiden?" snake wasnt exactly too happy to speak with him...but he would anyway. "i have some information you might want to know about." "what kind of information?" snake asked "its about the patriots." snake blinked, thats another thing he hadnt heard about in over four years...after the big shell incident and otacons discovery, they gave up trying to explain how they were dead for over two hundred years...and still controlling the country. "what about them?" snake
"they're alive" "what?" snake gasped"yeah according to this record my friend hacked out of the top goverment offices...the file otacon had was false...he found the founders of the patriots...not the modern members..." snake shook his head in disbelife, here he was enjoying his seldom life in a small town in california, and raiden calls him and tells him the patriots are indeed alive "so do you know where they are?" snake asked, "no, but if you call otacon and meet me in los angeles we can talk more there" "alright, ill see you in a few hours then." and with that, snake packed up his stuff to leave... a few hours later Snake arrived in LA, "bad traffic..." snake muttered as he arrived at the building...Snake walked into the building where otacon stood waiting for hin "otacon" snake said, ""wheres raiden?" otacon shrugged, "not here yet" "thats just great, did he tell you why were here?" otacon nodded "yeah, the patriots...snake its weird, i thought that disc i had was the real file why would Emma have a fake one?" "maybe to fool us...remmeber the tanker scandal? you can never be too sure who to trust anymore."snake muttered... too true, after the tanker incident, snake and otacon wisely layed low untill the big shell incident...then they learned the truth that ocelot was the one who tipped otacon off on the new metal gear in devolopement. Snake walked around and then he saw raiden walking into the door "jack, where have you been?" Raiden looked around, "i got hungry..." Snake sighed, "alright, what the hell is going on?" Raiden looked at him and smirked "age hasnt slowed you down one bit..."
