Sam was sitting out in the freezing cold, soaking wet but he hardly noticed. His fingertips had probably turned to ice by now but he didn't feel it. All he felt was the deep big hole in his heart.
He was at the playground on the swings, at night-time the moon always shone here and they always sat on the swings with the moonlight shining down on them. It may not be romantic to others, but to them it was. It was their favourite place.
"Sammy"
He's heart leaped for a moment but it wasn't her voice. He turned, he had to make sure right?
It was his dad. Great! A lecture was sure coming his way. He didn't have time to think about it as that little piece of hope deflated like a balloon being popped.
"Sammy" He felt a being near him, oh yeah his dad. He glanced over as his father wrapped him up in a blanket and then he was being carried then put down. He didn't realise he had his eyes closed till he opened them and found himself in a car.
"Come on stay awake Sammy" His dad said.
Sam raised his eyes open, it was only a short journey and then he was being carried again and into a house where he heard Dean's voice. "What happened to him? What's wrong?"
"Run him a hot bath" Dad ordered Dean.
"Sammy" Dad said. "Were going to get you warm okay, jesus your freezing"
He started to come to it in the bath, he felt warm, he felt feeling.
The coldness made him numb, now he wasn't and the heart in his hole widened, or seemed to. He started to cry, great big gulps and he found himself in his father's arms- the father who was hardly ever there or if he was he was treating them like soldiers, comforting him.
"I'm here Sammy" His dad said to him."I'm here for you"
