Big Time Love at First Sight-Episode 1 Part 1
My first day at the Palm Woods.
Anxiety ruled my brain as I calmly walked to Mr. Bitters' desk.
"You're Jamie, right?" he asked me.
"Yes, I am." I stuttered.
"Don't be nervous. I'm Mr. Bitters, and I'm the building manager. Welcome to the Palm Woods, I'll show you to your apartment."
"Thank you."
I walked with Mr. Bitters to my apartment, looking around. The lobby was very stylish, and I also noticed the beautiful pool.
Once I was at my apartment, I saw the sign "2L" on my door. I then looked down the hall, and saw two X's with Mr. Bitters' face on them on apartment 2J.
"Um, Mr. Bitters?"
"Yes, Jamie?"
"What are those?"
"Oh, those are my strikes. If you break a rule of the Palm Woods, I give you one of those."
"Oh."
"Well, enjoy your stay. Have a Palm Woods day."
I decided to tour the Palm Woods, unknowingly taking myself to the pool. I sat down, and noticed four guys also hanging by the pool. I happened to have seen the cute spanish one first. He was so cute, I couldn't take my eyes off of him. Apparently he caught me staring at him, because he stared back. I quickly took my book, and started to read. I heard them talking about me already. The cute spanish one started the conversation.
"Did she just move in to the Palm Woods?"
"I guess so, because I've never seen her before." another guy said.
"Why don't we go meet her?"
"Good idea!"
I saw the four guys come up to me, and I put down my book.
"Hi, did you just move in?" the cute spanish one asked me.
"Yes, I did. I'm Jamie Patterson."
"I'm Carlos."
"I'm James."
"Kendall."
"Name's Logan."
"Very nice to meet you guys!"
""Welcome to the Palm Woods!" Carlos said.
"Thank you!"
I then saw Carlos look deep into my eyes. I looked into his, and it was hard to escape the trance.
Kendall elbowed him lightly.
"What?" he whispered.
"Go for it!" Kendall said.
"Make the move!" James said.
"Um, Jamie, can I talk to you alone?"
"Sure, Carlos!" I said.
Carlos took me to the lobby away from the other guys.
"Oh, I'm not good at this." I heard Carlos whisper to himself.
"Huh?" I said, pretending I didn't hear.
"Nothing, don't worry."
Carlos looked at me in the eyes, and smiled.
"Jamie, I want to tell you this now."
"You can tell me anything." I said compassionately.
"Jamie, I like you."
"Carlos, you're so sweet!"
"I was wondering if you feel the same way?"
What should I say? I asked myself. I knew I liked Carlos. So I made my final decision. So I spoke up.
"Carlos, I know we just met. But to be honest, yes, I do feel the same way."
Carlos smiled wider, showing his white teeth.
"I was wondering if you would like to go out with me?"
I smiled, and I automatically knew my answer.
"Yes."
"How about a movie tonight?"
"I would love that."
Carlos held his hand out to me. I put my hand into his, and he took me to the pool back with the guys. Pleasure and ease rushed through my veins as I walked with Carlos, holding his hand. His hand felt warm and soft, making me feel excited to see how our relationship will turn out to be.
