I never knew what life was like, until I found you.
I never knew what it was like to love and be loved in return.
I never knew how the heart beat so fruitlessly.
Until I found you.
Why did you leave me when I needed you most?
Why did you cast me away?
Why did you lie in order to 'save me'?
I am as good as dead.
They say that time heals all wounds.
In this case, I doubt that is true.
My world has no meaning now,
now that you are gone.
Before, you said you loved me,
in song and in words.
Now your heart is still and I am but a shell.
Before, my heart was broken,
now it is shattered and will never be the same.
You left me,
and I am nothing without you.
