Sharon could not believe what her best friend Maria Wong had just told her, 'Wait! You mean on prom night when were at the hotel both Marlo AND Tess are going to be there? Are you freaking KIDDING me!', Marlo had been her boyfriend Alden's ex girlfriend and Tess was not only the reason why the two broke up in grade 9 but a female interest of Alden's. 'Relax Sharon, everything's going to be fine, we'll just stick to our plans and it'll be like they're not even there.' Maria was always good at this kind of stuff but maybe this time she's got it all worked out wrong, 'I mean he could still have feelings for EITHER one of them and I'm supposed to be HIS girlfriend whose totally cool with this stuff? I just can't deal' Sharon collapsed on her bed backwards and let the worst of all scenarios whiz by in her very imaginative head.
She and Alden had just reconciled recently after he admitted to having feelings for her while on a camping trip with some of her friends and peers from school. It was going great, well until this bit of news came around. Sharon HAD after all been a factor for why he and Marlo broke up, even though Marlo said it wasn't her fault...deep down they both knew. It was probably a sign and admittedly Sharon couldn't mask the fact that she'd ALWAYS had a thing for Alden even after the horrible messy breakup. But neither one of the two said anything until Sharon was so blinded she thought she liked Alex the cute counsellor at the camping trip where when Alden in the end tells her it was him who had done all the nice things for her in place of Alex (as she thought) Sharon couldn't help but be happy it was him after all.
'I mean us being in grade 10 now you'd think I learned my lesson but things are so different now, it's less childish and were kind of getting serious', Sharon couldn't help but smile at the last part, it was definitely true. They are an 'exclusive' couple one who is in a committed relationship with total trust and honesty. 'But you HAVE learnt your lesson Sharon, PLEASE don't make me give you a pep talk about it all over AGAIN and hey what do you mean by serious anyway?', poor Maria she and Brock are still in the exact same place, not like Sharon could blame either of the two for it, it's just the way the two have always been. 'Oh you know...' Sharon blushed and Maria caught on, 'You guys are in over your heads, literally' Maria couldn't help but laugh a little at Sharon's typical behaviour one that always was innocent but suggested otherwise a lot of the times on subjects such as these.
