Fears.

Chapter one.

Remembering the awful day it happened Rebecca decided to get revenge. Those people had sworn to protect her family while she was away, studying with that coven in England. But they hadn't done a very good job. When she had come home two months later her whole family was dead, along with her boyfriend. They said that they were sorry. That they'd tried their best, but she'd realised that not only were they all still alive, but they were hardly hurt. After going up against an invincible demon they should have had more than just a few bruises. Her family was trained fighters and her mother knew a bit of witchcraft, and they were all dead. Yet even that skinny, brainy girl and that brat of a kid had survived. It was clear whom they were willing to save and who they would let die. She'd known that it would happen, ever since she was a kid she'd had nightmares about it. Her worst fears had come true, and they'd let it. Now it was time for her to repay the favor. As she prepared her ingredients she wondered what they were doing.

At the hotel everyone was bored. For once there had been no demonic prophecies, no haunted houses, no vampire activity, nothing. Angel was teaching Connor some fighting techniques, Cordelia was listening to music, Wesley was reading, Fred and Gunn were talking in a corner, laughing at some private joke, and Lourne was out doing whatever Lourne does.

"Wouldn't you guys all welcome another end of the world?" Connor suddenly questioned. "Not that I actually want the world to end. It's just so boring lately."

Cordelia, whose CD had finished a couple of seconds ago, laughed. "Haven't you ever heard the phrase be careful what you wish for, Connor?"

In their corner Fred and Gunn had a quick discussion. Then Gunn announced, "Me and Fred are getting married." Cheers filled the room, as everyone rushed forward to hug the happy couple and congratulate them.

At that moment Rebecca put the finishing touches into her spell. There was a flash of blinding white light appeared, then smoke. As it cleared a figure could just be made out.

Rebecca smiled with an evil gleam in her eyes. "I need you to do a little favor for me. Do it right and you'll have got rid of Angel and his annoying groupies. "

The figure leaned closer to listen. Then it straightened up and nodded.

"Excellent," Rebecca smirked. "Everything is just like it should be."

Cordelia had just found the champagne when walls appeared in front of the windows and doors. There was no way out.

The gang leapt to their feet, trying to find a way out, when they heard Cordy scream. Running into the kitchen, they found her screaming and pointing at something they couldn't see on the floor, while backing up against the wall.

Wondering what was happening they rushed to cordelia's side and tried to calm her down, but it was no use she was hysterical.

In a room full of smoke, Rebecca watched what was going on in a glowing, golden orb. When she realised what was happening she smiled. "Don't get too scared yet guys. The games are just beginning."

Author note: Sorry I took a while writing this, but I've been so busy with coursework. I want to thank my best mate Rebecca, for letting me use her name in this fanfic. Also thanks to my parents for supporting me, and lastly thanks to my little sis, Samantha, for always been able to make me smile. Please review, and tell me what you think. I got this idea from watching the new series of Charmed, and I thought how easy it would be to fit the idea to Angel. If any of you have any idea what is happening, or have any ideas I could use in this fanfic (no matter how crazy) please, please review and tell me. I love to hear your ideas. ^_^
