There and Back Again...
Poetry inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's masterworks: The Similarion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings
Note: I am not a poet. I just dabble.
When All This Is Said and Done
Come one and all
Be merry, be gay!
For we must now venture
In a time that has long past,
When stories seemed to be
Built to last.
I am not the original,
Nor am I a fraud,
I am not a professional,
Or a façade.
Rather an amateur
A proud one at that.
Some may be rhymed like this,
Others free verse,
But never will you find a curse.
They'll be stories,
Legends,
Things of unknown.
Places to be seen,
People to know.
And when all this is said
And done,
We hopefully will have had
The best of fun.
