Today was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Lincoln and Haiku were wistfully enjoyed a day at the beach. The couple were alone, the whole sand belonging to them; telling their parents that they just wanted to take a walk outside. In actuality, they wanted to see each other. Both being seventeen, they silently contemplated whether or not they were actually together or in fact, just friends.

It was a difficult thing to comprehend, yes, but most teens jump the gun by saying "yes" or "no" then switching to the opposite. But not them. People like Lincoln and Haiku took time with their answers, to see if what they said really represented their opinions. That's actually the reason why they met.

It all started a year ago. Lincoln was accompanying Lucy (because he had nothing else to do) in a poetry club-night. The black leather seats were packed, so the white haired teen forced himself to stand near the full benches. The goth's preformance deserved encore, and she greatly obliged with a ghost of a smile on her face. Lincoln couldn't be more proud.

It wasn't until Haiku stepped out of the bathroom, which caught his attention. He knew her through Lucy's descriptions and she appeared sad (more than usual). She was wearing a lovely maroon dress with a black belt; fabric in the shape of wilted flowers adorned the flow of the dress. Rose, two inch heels with golden padlocks and fishnet stockings wrapped her arms and legs. Her face told a different story, though.

Her gorgeous hair was ribboned to a side-braid, teasing the image of a full face, but covering an eye nonetheless. Her lips were more red than her shoes, but they pursed to a frown. Lincoln looked up, and his heart split into two. Her visible eye told so much. Pain. Regret. Self doubt and self consciousness. The chocolate brown iris was surrounded by a faded pink hue—signifying that Haiku had been crying.

Haiku's whole face appeared as if it were recently washed. Washing away the misery and anguish she must've felt. Lincoln had to help; so, he politely walked up to her and kindly asked what was wrong. Haiku fought the urge to say "it's nothing", but she knew he could read her like an online story. So, the two walked outside and sat down at one of the benches near the bus stop and talked. For a long while.

Lincoln heard everything; some parts made him mad, while others made him shocked. Overall, Haiku was dumped through text, before even the first date. What the hell?! his mind screamed, how blind could a man be to miss an opportunity like Haiku. He's heard all good things about and felt that she deserved a happy life. After consoling her, something that Lincoln was very good at, he her a hug and wished her the best.

Haiku then leaned and kissed him. On the nose, that is. After a embarrassed Haiku clarified, Lincoln understood completely. Apparently, she was aiming for his cheek; but it's a little difficult to give someone a kiss when your eyes force themselves shut from all the passion. Humility at its finest.

She kept telling herself that she was aiming for his cheek. Perhaps, she thought it would be an affable excuse to where she really wanted to kiss him. But she saved that for later. Suddenly, Lincoln's phone rang and realized he had to pick up Lucy. They bid farewell and he walked off into the night, knowing that they'll see each other again. He told Lucy of her friends' issue, and they all solved it. Together.

Lincoln awoke from that impacting dream as soon as he heard his girl friend yawn. The sun was almost setting and Haiku looked pretty bored. Laying on your stomach with a towel covering you would really make someone tired.

"Hey," he said softly. "wanna go for a swim?"

The ravenette looked at him with a smile. "Sure."

Both of them rose from the ground, dropping the towels and set their eyes for the water. Once they reached the ocean, they sighed from the coolness. Haiku snuck glances at Lincoln's chest while he himself did his best to keep his eyes averted from Haiku's beautiful body. He was a gentleman. And gentlemen don't stare at their friends' curves.

Haiku noticed that the water was a bit less harder to move around. And she could actually feel the water touching her crotch and thighs. When she looked down, the goth nearly yipped. She forgot her bottoms! Did Lincoln notice?! Timidly, she turned her head over and found a red faced Lincoln, both his hands were over his crotch—covering it. He forgot his boxers.

How their swimsuits managed to slip off of them, they didn't know. The now newlyweds laughed at that day over a drink.

Thank you for the suggestion, ButtonMan. I hope I didn't dissatisfy. Please, everyone, feel free to choose choices 1-8 and suggest your own ideas. Next chapter will have a suggestion left by Omnitrixter2. I appreciate you all! Ciao!
