MM POV (No idea why)
The sound of cheers rung through grounds of Hogwarts, It was over the long war was finally over. But for every win their must be a loss. Everywhere you turned bodies lay covered in blood or dirt these were the painful reminders of what had been sacrificed to end Voldemorts terror. Brother's sisters and friends lay over the fallen, tears hanging heavily in their eyes. Stretchers were being floated in and out of the hospital wing. Looking towards the lake I saw Remus Lupin holding onto a dark haired girl tears falling from his face... No... Tonks she can't be.
I ran across the muddy grass towards were Remus lay. I reached a hand out to grasp hold of his shoulder. "Remus..."
"I don't know if Dora's ok Minerva, she looked at me as we heard the news then she just collapsed... Help Me."
Remus carried on mumbling under his breath odd gasps and sobs being heard here and there. It reminded her of when Albus died she felt so useless, like she had let him down. Minerva pulled Remus away from Tonk's body she checked her pulse and was relieved when she felt one. Minerva hurried and cast some diagnostic spells on her. Minerva froze Tonks had been hit by a very nasty spell but there was a known cure.
"Minerva will she be ok... it just I..." Remus sounded like the young boy she taught years back.
"It's just I never told her I loved her"
"Remus John Lupin I could hit you, for months you've been pushing her away her that your too old, too poor and you're a werewolf and each time she told you she didn't care you pushed her away... why?"
"I, I just didn't want to love her if I was going to lose her... Minerva don't look at me like that it's just... she was my mate... so if I mated with her then she died or I died we would forever feel lost and lonely I couldn't do that to her" Minerva stood there like she had been hit in the face.
"You idiot Why didn't you just tell her, she always thought you hated her, if she dies now that's what she will think"
"Don't say THAT" Remus growled.
"It's TRUE isn't it" Remus hung his head down looking towards Tonk's body.
"Remus I would love to keep talking to you but we can't Tonk's is running out of time." Remus grabbed Tonk's body and cuddled her close while nuzzling her neck.
"Being the new headmistress I can appear anywhere in the school. I'll go to the infirmary and collect the antidote it will be quicker, Stay here!"
Minerva appeared in between loads of bodies she felt like gagging the smell of sweat blood and cleaning substances all mingled into one.
"Minerva thank goodness your here I need some serious help!" Poppy Pomfrey shouted from across the rows of beds.
"I'm sorry poppy I can't I need to help Tonk's I'll treat the ones that are still left on the battle field." Minerva grabbed some, large, medical bags and shrunk them so they could fit in her pocket. Minerva apparated while holding the antidote in her hand.
"Remus I have the potion hold her mouth open" Remus held her mouth open while the potion was poured down her throat. Tonks spluttered then fell silent. Remus continued to cuddle and nuzzle her.
"Remus is that you?" Tonk's croaking voice whispered.
"Dora my Dora your ok... You're safe I've got you"
"What do you mean your Dora you pushed me away you hate me" Tonks sobbed
"Dora is it too late to tell you I love you?"
