Definitions of a Mary Sue -Fullmetal Edition-

I'm assuming that this Mary Sue is paired with Ed, and I've seen only a handful of authors who could pull off an EdxOC without a Mary Sue.

Anyways, the disclaimer (even though I doubt I need one for something like this, just for safety purposes…): I DO NOT own Fullmetal of ANY characters that you recongnized. But I DO own the quotes, though I DIDN'T write them into stories because I know better than that. End of story.

Without further ado:

1. She is "the most beautiful girl that Edward had ever seen" with "silky –color- hair and sparkling -gem/unusual color- eyes that Edward could feel himself drowning in" and "pale/tan skin that looked so smooth that Edward felt an unbelievable urge to run his hand down her arm"…

2. Her past is very tragic and/or suspiciously similar to Ed's. "Her parent's were killed in a -tragic/synonym- accident/event, and she'd been beaten and abused by her -evil/bad…- -relative-," "She joined the military at the age of -ridiculously young age- and became a State Alchemist -a ridiculously low number of months- later." "Ever since her parents died, she's been living with her step--something- and was continually beaten and abused until she ran away to join the military as a State Alchemist at the age of -insert a number between 1-6 here- and quickly became the best/youngest person ever known to have passed the State Alchemist exam" and so on…

3. She has an automail arm/leg/arm and leg that is coincidencially the same as Ed's. "Her eyes grew wide.'You have an automail arm and leg too?!' she asked, lifting up her sleeve to reveal shinning metal in place of her right arm" "She'd attempted a human transmutation after her parents' tragic deaths and lost her right/left arm/leg/arms/legs" etc…

3. She falls in love with Ed literally "the second their eyes locked and she knew he was the one for her"

4. Ed falls in love with her the second they meet (or a few afterwards but you get the drift)

5. She's assigned to 'help' the Elric Brothers on their attempt to find the Stone. " 'Oh, Colonel Mustang told me that my new assignment was to help you guys find the stone' she said with a dazzling smile" " 'I'm suppose to be your partner… since I'm also looking for the Stone. My parents died…..'"

6. She's already found/made a Philosopher's Stone. "She smiled. 'If it's the Stone you're looking for, I've already got one here,' she said, pulling the genuine stone out of her pocket"

7. Her name has random additions to it/has referrals of flowers or other stuff like that/has a 'uber awesome' State Title added to it. " 'Oh, my name is Iris "Ruby Alchemist" Sanatoru. But you can call me Ruby-chan' she said, flashing Ed a heart-melting smile"

And that's everything I can think of right now. But I'm sure there's SOOOO much more, so review and tell me! I'd love to see your feedback… then again, all authors do. So review!

Oh, and by the way, I didn't mean to insult anyone with this. Just wanted to get it out there that Mary Sues are… ugh… can't even find a word to describe them, but if you really want one, go to and type in the word "bad" and look at ALL the synonyms they find for it.
