The vertigo colours spun around me like nothing I had ever seen before.

The team was perplexed at their current location. We had followed Cyclonis through the portal. What lie ahead of us was nothing but empty space. Walls of neon purple binding with tiny bright lights, and navy blue waves.

Then I realised I couldn't breathe.

My head felt like it was going to explode, and no one would hear it. Apparently, there was a lack of oxygen in this dimension. My eyeballs started to cross, as I brought my hands up around my throat. Death lingered behind me.

Then he saved me.

My crimson hero.

Aerrow.

I felt a tug on my right shoulder. My body turned on it's own. He signaled with his head to follow him into the condor. My eyelids lowered, letting him know I was almost finished. His eyebrows faltered.

The red head grabbed me by the waste, locking me firmly under his arm. Since we were floating high above the platform, he began to 'swim' through the icy current that was space.

The front gate got closer and closer...

until I finally blacked

out.

~ X ~

I awoke to my own drool.

Although my eyes weren't open, I could feel that it had slowly made its way from my mouth, onto my chest. What a mess. My eyes flickered open to a charming sight.

Aerrow was parked, snoozing on a chair.

Right beside my bed.

I sat up, quickly removing the covers from my body.

He was leaning back, head askew. The lines under his eyes suggested that he had been watching me for quite a while. He was still in his uniform. His chest gently rose up and down.

I blushed.

The fearless leader, once a slayer, was now a lamb. So innocent, so caring, so

"Beautiful" I whispered to myself.

I continued to admire him.

"Yes you are."

I jumped and fell out of the bed. He caught me before I could land on the floor, and propped me back up on the mattress.

"You scared me!" I shrieked.

"I'm sorry, Piper." he shined an apologetic grin.

He made his way onto the bed with me. My heart began to race. He sat beside me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"You were out for quite a while. I've been watching you like a hawk." his smile thinned into a look of hurt and worry.

"How long?" I questioned.

"Probably 3 days." he replied.

"3 days? Have you slept?!"

"Not a wink."

I stammered to my feet infront of him, mad fury filling my body. His hand dropped to his side.

"Aerrow! That's dangerous! You're our captain! We can't have you being an insomniac!"

Aerrow got to his feet, and stood infront of me.

"I know, Piper...but you were dying. And I can't have my team member dying now, can I?"

"Even if I did die, it wouldn't matter. You've got a job to do--and you'd have to finish it with or without me."

He put a finger to my lips, stopping me in my tracks.

"Don't think like that. We couldn't have gotten this far without you..."

He moved inches away from my body. My heart stopped. He placed both his hands on the tops of my arms, and moved his sweet face beside my head. His mouth was directly beside my ear. I could hear and feel his breath.

"- I couldn't have gotten this far without you." he whispered.

I was completley red. My body began to shake. This was a new feeling for me, I had never experienced this before. He brought his face back up and looked me in the eyes. Tears started to pour from my sockets.

"Why are you crying?"

"I'm so--s-so..."

"...?"

"-happy."

He smiled, and placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

This is a new beginning.

A new beginning...

for

us.
