Easter Eggs
Grissom walked into his and Sara's town home after shift one Sunday morning. He didn't see her, but there was evidence she had been home recently. He saw a colored egg on the counter, sitting on top of a note addressed to him. Smiling, he set the chocolate aside and opened the note. He unfolded the first flap and started to read:
Gil,
Enjoy your candy confection.
I put it in plain site because you
cheated and have already found
your egg. I'm waiting outside.
Love,
Sara
He was confused until he unfolded the entire letter. He needed to brace himself on the counter momentarily. He was grinning like an idiot when he stepped outside. He pulled her smiling face up for a kiss before lying in the grass with her.
"I love you, Sara."
"I love you too, Gil. Happy Easter." He rested his hand on her belly even though he knew it was too soon to feel anything and they took a nap on the blanket in the backyard.
