Kaoru could feel the sun beating on his eyelids. The sun light struggling to open them. He didn't really want to wake up. He was comfortable and warm against Hikaru, who was lightly snoring. Pulling the blanket over his head, Kaoru lay there in a half asleep daze, processing that it probably was time to get up.
Hikaru turned over and laid an arm on Kaoru's body, roughly, completely waking up the twin. Kaoru sighed. Obviously, fate wanted him up. Turning over as well, he saw that his brother was still sleeping. Kaoru also noted that it was a deep sleep, as Hikaru wouldn't stop drooling and his eyelids wouldn't stop fluttering. He frowned as he remembered that since they were identical, that was what he looked like as he slept too.
"Hey, Hikaru?" Kaoru whispered, poking his brother's shoulder. "Wake up. You look gross."
Hikaru frowned, still asleep, and stretched. He was too much of a deep sleeper, the younger of the two thought to himself. Not to mention Hikaru's breath didn't smell that great either.
"Your breath smells horrible. You shouldn't have eaten all that food last night." Kaoru whispered to Hikaru again. It didn't do much good, so Kaoru turned around to get away from the stench. He didn't really want to get up without Hikaru. Strange as it was.
However, it was a delicate situation. While not as bad as Hunny and Kyouya, Hikaru would still act very temperamental if not woken up the right way. Fortunately, spending his entire life with Hikaru, had taught Kaoru how to wake his brother up correctly. It just wasn't as easy this day.
As Kaoru was in his thoughts, Hikaru obviously felt the need to move again, as he brought his knee up to Kaoru. In a place that made the twin howl.
"Hikaru! That hurt, you idiot!" Kaoru screeched, comforting himself by holding the aching area. Hikaru just grumbled, still not awake. This was getting ugly.
Taking a deep breath in, Kaoru knew there was no other way to wake his brother up. Hikaru seemed very violent this morning and if not woken up, who knew the number of bruises that would be left behind.
As he sat up and put his hands on Hikaru's shoulders, he smiled at the peaceful (but also unpleasant) expression on his brother's face. He leaned down and…
"Hikaru! Wake up!"
"Ow, my head," Hikaru groaned, slowly opening his eyes. He glared up at his younger twin. "Did you really have to scream in my face and shake me like that?"
"Yes." Kaoru replied, getting up from their conjoined beds. "You looked gross, smelled bad, and you wouldn't stop hurting me."
Hikaru sat up, and wiped his face as if wiping away the sleep. "I think I was trying to tell you something." He stood up and made his way to the bathroom. "I'm taking a shower first."
"Hikaru! That's unfair! I was the one who suffered this morning!" Kaoru protested, crossing his arms. "I was the one who had to smell your nasty breath!"
"Then I need the shower more than you do, huh?" The older twin said, as he shut the door.
All Kaoru could do was glare at it.
