Lily Evans was gritting her teeth as she stomped through the Great Hall. She walked up to the Slytherin table, ignoring the shouts of protests from the green and silver clad students and sharply kicked the leg of a chair, sending it backwards, despite having the extra weight of a boy on it. Severus Snape looked up at her, trying to hide a smirk.

"I need to talk to you," Lily snarled and grabbed the sleeve of his robes before he could reply. She dragged him roughly out into the empty corridor.

"Problem, Evans?" Severus asked with a mischievous smile.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Lily barked.

"I've no idea what you're talking about."

"You do so, you liar. James is in the Hospital Wing because of you!"

"What's your point Evans? You didn't get this worked up when he was hexing me every day."

"Snape, he never did anything dangerous to you,"

"That's bull and you know it."

Lily took a step closer and waved a finger in his face, "Just because James did something doesn't mean you should do it back. I mean, if James jumped off the top of the Astronomy Tower, would you do it too?"

"Evans-," Severus tried to interrupt.

"Seriously, James was just looking for a bit of fun when he was messing with you, you really tried to hurt him! There's a huge difference between a harmless joke and purposely trying to harm someone." Lily continued her rant.

"Evans-,"

"And another thing, I don't appreciate you running off at the mouth to all your little Death Eater wannabe friends-"

"Evans!" Severus once again unsuccessfully attempted to interject. He leaned his head back against the wall, listening to her blabber.

"…About me. What I do is really none of your business, Snape. And telling everyone that Remus is a werewolf, I mean honestly, just because he's friends with James doesn't mean you can go and make up malicious-,"

Severus was starting to get a throbbing headache from Lily's seemingly endless tirade and finally found a way to stop her mouth from moving. He grabbed Lily's face with both his hands and kissed her. And she kissed him back. Her brain didn't seem to register what she was doing, because she didn't seem to remember that she had just been screaming at him seconds before for several long moments. Finally, she remembered who she was kissing and what he had done and shoved him backwards as hard as she could.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Snape?" Lily roared at him, wiping her mouth with her sleeve.

"I was just trying to shut you up, but it looked to me like you were trying to kiss me." Severus replied with a smirk.

"Don't give me that, you kissed me!" Lily growled, scowling.

"Yes, but you didn't seem to fight me off right away either."

"I was in shock, you see, normal people don't kiss people that are screaming at them."

"You can shove your tongue down people's throats when you're in shock?"

Lily opened her mouth to retort but didn't seem to know what to say.

"You're just mad because you liked it." Severus taunted.

"You wish."

"You wish you didn't."

Lily glared at him, digging her nails into her palms.

"You're such a prat!" Lily screamed.

"You want me, don't you?"

Lily slapped him hard across the face and yelled, "I hate you!" in his face before storming away, wiping her mouth furiously as she went. Severus rubbed his face (Lily could hit rather hard for a girl), but he still had a smirk plastered on his thin face.

"Yeah, she definitely wants me."
