Prologue…….

"Sakura I need to talk to you for a moment if that's alright?" said a dark haired boy with coal black eyes as they walked out of their last class of the day.

They were thirteen and best friends, and had been since they were two years old. Sakura was a petite green eyed girl with hair that cascaded down her back in soft pink waves. Many boys in their class wanted to be her boyfriend though none were brave enough to approach her due to the death glares they would receive from the youngest Uchiha. She was considered to be one of the most beautiful girls in the entire school though she didn't understand why. She had always seen herself as plain and ordinary.

Sasuke knew how she seen herself and couldn't for the life of him understand why she thought that there was nothing special about her. Her smile alone was enough to light up a dark room and her eyes…well they were another story altogether. One look into the emerald green depths would cause anybody to feel as though they were in the presence of a live angel.

As they walked down the hall to where their lockers awaited them he was surprised to find himself feeling nervous. He was the type a guy who kept walls around himself, not wanting people to see who he really was. The walls only ever dropped when he and Sakura were alone with no one around to witness the way his eyes soften with every word she spoke or the way he would find any excuse to brush his fingers against hers. Just so he could get a glimpse of her face when she would blush lightly and prettily.

"You said you wanted to speak with me, Sasuke?" Sakura asked as she opened her locker and started to pull the books she needed out and slipped them into her pink messenger bag that had her name spelled out on it in big white letters. As she moved slightly her bag would make a light jingling noise due to the massive amount of buttons she had covering the area around her name. Each one said something different or a different picture of something on it.

Not being one to draw things out he went straight to the point, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

She dropped her bag to the floor at his words then slowly tuned to face him slowly, her eyes widened slightly. "What did you say?"

He leaned in closer to her and brought his face down to hers so that they were just only few inches apart. "I want you to be my girlfriend. I've liked you for a really long time and I know that you like me back. I can feel it."

She would admit, only to herself of course, that she had a crush on him. No, no that's not right. She was in love with him. They were young, she knew that, but she also knew what she felt for Sasuke. She had always wondered if she was the only one that had felt the pull that seemed to always be between them and she knew the answer. She wasn't.

She blushed lightly before she closed the space between them quickly before pulling with a small shy grin. "Yes, I'll be you girlfriend." she said sweetly before she grabbed her bag and ran down the hall and outside where her mother was waiting for her.
