A/N: My second poem. Hope you enjoy it!
Cold Fire
Cold and distant once,
Fireless, aimless,
Lost, confused.
(And she came.)
(And she brought)
Fire within,
An aim, a purpose.
A smile on his face,
A spark in his eye.
(And then the mistake.)
Pleading, pleading,
For forgiveness.
(She never expected -- him?)
(And he lost her)
Again.
Aimless, wandering, confused.
(And the other mistake.)
Repentance, regret.
Pain, hatred.
Anger at his foolishness.
(And she's gone.)
Never his.
(He is.)
Crumbled, torn,
Viciously apart.
(And he's never the same again.)
The fire lingers.
But it's useless, wasted.
It's Lily-less.
Cold fire.
A/N: Well, if you've read this far, you can as well review. Please?
