Silence fell over the great hall as the headmaster rose. It was the end of the year, and Albus was saying goodbye to the seventh years.
He smiled down at Harry Potter, and at how grown up he had become. The young man wore a nervous smile, and smoothed his fringe under the graduation cap even though it was as flat as it could ever get. Frequent glances towards Slytherin were finally rewarded when a blonde gave him a wry smile and nodded. Harry blushed and looked purposely at Dumbledore, who winked.
"It is my great honor and pleasure for this next announcement. As you all know, Harry Potter has helped us in so many ways. He brought hope in our darkest hour, and defeated Lord Voldemort, securing the peace of the wizarding world."
Some people rolled their eyes, having heard this speech so many times, but they all were grateful, and there was a hidden smile behind their eyes.
"I think it is time we all did something for him."
Ron and Hermione shared confused glances, and looked at Harry for help. He just shook his head with a smile, and nodded for them to listen to Albus.
"When he came to me with his request, I was given no choice but to comply. He had lemon drops." Everyone laughed, and then yearned for him to continue, wondering what Harry was going to do.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present our first Hogwarts wedding!"
Silence.
Ron stared open-mouthed at Harry, and Hermione made small choking noises.
"Bloody hell! Who on earth are you marrying? You're not even dating someone." Ron managed to say, his words voicing the question everyone wanted answered.
Draco Malfoy stood and walked slowly over to Harry, eyes on what he was going to do.
"Yeah Potter, do enlighten us. Who's the unlucky bride?"
Harry inched a little closer and said with a smile "I thought I was the bride."
Ron fainted.
