He saw her smile and he knew. He knew that he loved her, he knew that she was the most important thing in his life he knew that she was the one he wanted to start and end the new year with. She turned around and saw him smiling. She knew how he felt and she knew he felt the same way. They're eyes locked and the world became silent except for that one voice that wasn't just counting down the seconds, the voice was waiting for the start of the new year, for the moment that they shared their first kiss. The voice was counting and waiting for the start of their new lives together.
With each decreasing second they moved closer and closer until the voice finally shouted "One".
He bent down and kissed her and she kissed him back. "Happy New Year Bobby," she whispered.
'A very happy new year' he thought as bent back down to kiss her again.
That was the start of not only the new year but also the start of their lives together. Who knew that it would take a new year to start for them to finally realize that they loved eachother.
