Summary: In which Kagome does the Western Lord wrong and he, well he's too surprised to do anything else.

Holding out her hands Kagome laughs nervously, pondering how she gets into these sticky situations all the time.

The well had been sealed now for a few months, Inuyasha had greeted her and stayed by her side until the call of freedom and fear of commitment took him away, leaving her to wonder why she came back to the past anyway.

But she had no choice but live stuck in the past, earning her place in the village as a priestess and helping out where she could, keeping busy so the despair and loneliness she felt didn't eat her away.

It was no secret Sesshoumaru visited Rin and brought her gifts every once in a while and usually he brought Jaken with him, this time was no different which begged the question as to why did she end up in an awkward situation.

She had been assembling a group of herbs meant for healing and in the process stirring a pot of porridge that Kaede, Rin and her would be eating for dinner when the western lord decided to step in. Considering she was a very powerful miko she should have been able to sense his oppressing youki unfortunately she hadn't, so when he spoke she had been so startled she turned around and in defense smacked him with the cooking spoon.

With food.

And a wooden spoon.

Straight in the face.

Kagome froze up and then doing what she did best, she panicked. Sesshoumaru just glared and then turned leaving the package he had brought on the corner by the entrance in the hut, leaving a very stricken if not confused poor miko struggling to calm her breathing and after a moment, when she rethought his expression, her laughter.

She was going to die.
