Summary: It's James and Lily's wedding, Remus finally summons the courage to confess his true feelings for Sirius.
Sirius Black hated Valentine's Day. He saw it as a pointless holiday. If you had a boyfriend or girlfriend it was just an excuse to get them a gift, and if you were single then it was a day where you either attempted to get one or were miserable. Remus Lupin knew all of this, but thought that he might as well give his plan a thought.
It was James and Lily's wedding day and Sirius had been moping almost all day. He would smile for pictures and joke around with James, Lily, Peter, and Remus, but you could tell that his heart wasn't really in it.
Sirius had just given his best man's speech and dinner was almost over. James was blushing from all the jokes Sirius had made at his expense. Remus hadn't really been paying attention to the speech. He had been focused on Sirius and how good he looked in his dress robes.
Soon the dancing had begun, and James and Lily had looked amazing when they opened the dance. Remus couldn't help but feel jealous of all the girls Sirius had danced with.
When he was dancing with Lily she asked him, "What are you planning, Remus?"
Remus who was taken off guard by what Lily had said replied, "What?"
"Oh come on, Remus, I've known you for almost ten years, I can tell when you're planning things. It has to do with Sirius doesn't it?" Remus was about to open his mouth to contradict what Lily said when she continued: "Remus, I've seen the way you look at him. You're obviously in love with him. Besides he gives you those same looks, so he probably loves you as well."
"Thanks, Lily. I think I' going to talk to Sirius now," Remus responded just as the song ended. Remus walked over to Sirius and asked, "Padfoot, will you dance with me?"
Sirius was shocked by what Remus asked him. This wasn't the Remus he knew. While Sirius wasn't paying attention Remus had started waltzing with him. When Sirius finally figured out what was happening he asked, "Remus what do you think you are doing?"
"Dancing with the man I love," Remus calmly replies.
Sirius freezes with his mouth hanging open. Remus who was now nervous from Sirius' reaction asked, "Sirius? Sirius, are you okay?"
"You love me?" Sirius asked him in response.
"Yes, Sirius, I love you. Why?"
"I love you too," Sirius answers before kissing him. The two stood there snogging in the middle of the dance floor for five minutes before dancing again.
James who had missed the whole thing came back from the bathroom and saw his two best friends dancing together and looking completely and utterly in love. "Will somebody please tell me what is going on?" James asked when he reached Lily and Peter.
"Remus just told Sirius he loves him and Sirius told him he loves him back. Now come on, James, let's dance," Lily said dragging a stunned James onto the dance floor.
