This is simply a conversation between Barty Crouch Jr. and the 10th Doctor. I wrote it to after realizing just how much I missed writing Barty's character in the current book of the Alexis Lestrange series. The Doctor is written normally while Barty's words are written in italics
"So... You sit on it?"
"Pretty much."
"And it goes?"
"Yep."
"But it's a broom. It's used for sweeping."
"And that's a police box. It's used for calling the police."
"But there's no buttons! No control board! No do-hickeys! No whatchamacallits! No thingamajigs or thingumabobs! No switches or levers or handles or-"
"It's a broom."
"How boring!"
"It flies!"
"So does the TARDIS! And she can also travel through time-"
"We have time-turners -"
"- and space -"
"We can apparate -"
"- and is bigger on the inside!"
"So are our chest and tents... and the Mudblood's purse."
"The what?"
"Doesn't matter. Are you going to fly or not, spaceman?"
"Now hold on a minute Mister Wizard... Guy... You haven't even explained the rules to me yet!"
"Well, you'll be playing Chaser. You get the Quaffle and throw it through one of those holes up there."
"And how on earth am I supposed to reach that high? Those goals are over fifty feet in the air!"
"Are you forgetting the broom?"
"Oh, I'm not riding that bloody thing! It's scientifically impossible!"
"You have two hearts, are an alien with a Scottish accent, and instead of dying regenerate into another person who's completely different from the first. Scientific impossibilities are allowed."
"*sighs* Fine. I'll ride the broom. What's the worst thing that could happen? I fall off. *chuckles*"
"*chuckles as well* That or get hit with a Budger by one of the opposing teams Beaters... Or get hit by the Beaters themselves. Or get struck by lightning. Or get jinxed by an angry fan or player. Or get kissed by a Dementor-"
"- it can't be worse than kissing a Zygons..."
"*chuckles softly to himself but says nothing*"
